Business Development Manager Power & Utility

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain effective business relationships that will lead to potential projects.
  • Research industry developments and market trends, while gaining khowledge of shifts in funding, and scopes of work.
  • Understand client funding, capital, and project life cycle. |
  • Develop, monitor and achieve Key Performance
  • Indicators (KPI's) for the Business. 
  • Prepare winning proposals KPIs and engage in direct sales activities to achieve lasting client relationships.
  • Prepare action plans to effectively achieve sales objectives and actively market the downstream businesses capabilities to potential clients
  • Utilize sales skills, in addition to technical service knowledge, to sell multiple product lines and develop cross-selling opportunities across business lines as they present themselves in key areas such as:

Job specific task: 

  • Identify potential project clients in early stage, building and maintaining the project pipeline.
  • Identify key players in various projects and customer organizations
  • Build and leverage relationships with clients and
  • prospective clients at major utilities, contracting and engineering firms that lead to potential projects
  • Develop marketing and capture plans for all work that fits the Aldridge strategy and business plan
  • Gain and share knowledge of new industry technologies, utilities budget process and rate case, and future changes that may shift the market.
  • Anticipate market disrupters and provide creative solutions.
  • Provide input to bid/proposal strategies 
  • Provide operational assistance by utilizing relationships as a resource to resolve project issues. 

Requirement : 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 5 years minimum experience in Business Development utility & Power construction or equivalent
  • Established network within utilities, engineering firms, developers, and their supply chain Strong presence and seller aptitude
  • Ability to formulate and share creative solutions
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
