Lowongan Kerja Cost Engineer On Beca Management Consulting

Join Our Industrial Team, 

Cost Engineer - Intermediate

Beca is looking to recruit an Intermediate Cost Engineer to provide cost management services in our team. In this role the cost engineer will be required to have a proactive attitude to collect and analyse data, provide accurate estimate of the project cost, including material, equipment, labour, services and any cost related to the project. This role will also be tasked with developing and analysing budget, cost improvements, reviewing plan and quantity estimates, cost management related to pricing of contracts.

The cost engineer should have in depth knowledge in cost estimate approach, engineering, a good eye for detail, advanced mathematical skills, methodical approach and good interpersonal skills, people understanding and ability to support the project management team with negotiation strategies.
Broad knowledge in estimation software, having good communication in English, certification in Quantity Survey and Cost Management/Estimation will be advantageous.

This role will be based in Beca’s Jakarta office but travelling maybe required from time to time to project sites within Indonesia.


Requirement

  • S1/bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Civil / Structural preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in cost management
  • Cost and contract management experience in various capital project
  • Experience in construction execution is preferred
  • Knowledge in project preparation, engineering and construction processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team player and self-motivated

  • Comparison Analyst, Input into and Use of Historical Data, Procurement including a comprehensive understanding of Purchase
  • Order, Budget Quotations and “Procurement Action.
  • Good communication in English including verbal and written communication skills
  • Good skills in MS Excel and fully versed with MS Office suite of software (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Cost Engineer Responsibilities :

  • Understanding the scope and scale of the project
  • Where required undertake travel to project sites to gather information on materials, labour and other factors to build the estimate
  • Collaboration with engineers, contractors, and other service providers
  • Consulting with the Beca subject matter experts for improvement of the cost estimate process
  • Reviewing the project planning and quantifying the cost tracking
  • Reviewing cost profile of the project and provide the recommendation to project lead
  • Assist in the development of the cost control budget
  • Prepare cost reports, analysis, cost elements in a contract, budgets, cost risk assessment and other document related to cost management

Qualification :

  • Having Professional Certification in Data Center Technology (VCP Data Center, RHCE, Dell, HPE, or other Professional Certification).
  • Willingness to respond to network and server errors after hours.
  • Ability to keep up with advancements in data center infrastructure and technologies.
Education Requirement :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.
Work Experience :
  • Having minimum 2 years experience as a system engineer.

2. Officer Strategic Sourching

Job Description :

  • Assist in achieving the strategic sourcing management goals of the company and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved.
  • Responsible for negotiations for best possible cost service guarantee and develop win-win strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning.
  • Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions.
  • Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.
  • Maintain and develop supplier relationships (trade shows, supplier meetings, conferences, etc.).
  • Participate in establishing short-term and long range planning and budget development of the company to support strategic business goals.
  • Assist in establishing of purchasing policies and ensures compliance within the department.
Qualification :
  • Strong preference for sourcing experience.
  • Preferably having experience in mining industry.
Work Experience :

3. Senior Project Control Engineer

Job Description

  • Accomplish the primary goal of project planning , maintaining cost control and maintaining document control on a project.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed cost control system and regularly perform analytical reviews and checks of cost reporting documentation, and present cost status and forecast updates.
  • Establishes a schedule for the project and monitors its progress and routinely analyse, evaluate and forecast the current project status against the baseline schedule, assessing the impacts of design or construction changes to the schedule.
  • Coordinate all work on the project, ensuring that objectives are met within budget and schedule, if necessary to conduct site visits to verify progress and identify any potential and critical issues and give recommend recovery plans, and update the schedule and budget accordingly.
  • Provide leadership to create, develop, and implement, document control system based on best practices and international standards, both projects and operational activities.
  • Provide leadership in the best practices for all teams, monitor and coordinate the document used within the project management life cycle in compliance with SOP's and procedures.
Qualification
  • Experience using Primavera.
  • Experience using Document Control System.
  • Experience in Critical Path methodology and delay analysis.
  • Experience in earned value analysis.
  • Proficient in MS office. MS Word, MS Excel software.
  • Familiar with basic methods of archiving and documents administration.
  • Able to manage several projects at once and determine priorities.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong team development skills, a team player.
Educational Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Master's Degree is a plus.
